Dentists: How Often Do You Refer Out Wisdom Tooth Removal?

We asked dentists what percentage of wisdom tooth removals they refer out to oral surgeons. Overall, half of the responding dentists refer out over 4 out of 5 extractions.

Specialists tend to refer out more wisdom tooth extractions than general dentists and rural dentists tend to treat most wisdom tooth problems in house.
